Rich, Immersive Dialogue on IST Building
We are experimenting with a new commenting system called Disqus. Disqus offers threading, avatars, notifications and voting.
We tried the @reply widget to complement the traditional blog commenting, but it is way too primitive compared to the other commenting solutions available out there such as Intense Debate and SezWho. We settled on Disqus because it looks like the most stable startup company that will be around for a while, without our having to worry about losing all our comments. (Although I did like Intense Debate’s ability to import all existing comments, Disqus is working on making this available soon.)
Disqus commenting will be available on future posts as well as existing posts with 0 comments. Old posts with traditional comments will be kept on our database until Disqus lets us import them into their system.
Test it out and let us know what you think!
