State College, PA is now up to 81 votes at Startup Weekend. If Rob Shedd's statement is true, we are now safely under consideration as a possible location since we passed the 80 mark. Brendan Falkowski's massive spamming on Facebook yesterday significantly boosted the numbers and then Caroline Furey's Facebook group set it on fire. Keep on voting, though, because we are still lagging in 8th place right ...

Rob Shedd at the Lion Launch Pad notified me about the chance of Startup Weekend coming to State College, PA. Apparently, we just need at least 80 people to vote for State College, PA on the Startup Weekend website to be considered.

One of our very own is running in the Final 8 on an entrepreneurship competition website called IdeaBlob. Matt Allison (Senior, Economics with minor in Engineering Entrepreneurship) has come up with a way to improve exercise at home. He suggests a personal trainer device that syncs up with a social networking website. Matt describes his product by introducing the pain in the market,
Individuals begin fitness programs each year, ...

I briefly mentioned Drizzoo in an earlier post where I noticed that the lead developer for the company was an IST graduate. Drizzoo seems to be in private alpha because the search results return only jobs and more jobs but nothing about an available product. I was immediately intrigued to find out more about this instance of entrepreneurship in the College of iST, so I emailed Scott Ayres ...
