Although these logos are subject to copyright, their use is covered by the U.S. fair use laws. They are illustrated on a purely educational map about the entities that the logos represents. These images are used as the primary means of visual identification. They are low resolution images, and thus not suitable for production of counterfeit goods. Logos are not used in such a way that a reader would be confused into believing that they authorized by the owner of the logo. They are not replaceable with an uncopyrighted or freely copyrighted image of comparable educational value.
